Simone Cremaschi

Simone Cremaschi is a political sociologist using ethnography and statistics to study the causes and consequences of socio-political exclusion. His first research project, based on the extensive field research conducted for his Ph.D. (Political and Social Sciences, European University Institute), investigates the functioning of exploited immigrant farmworkers' shantytowns in Italy. At Dondena Centre, he works as a Postdoc on a research project funded through the European Research Council that examines how economic hardship affects support for socially conservative political agendas.
